At the end of December 2018, after years at the top of the international snowboard circuit, Max’s world came to a halt: he was diagnosed with cancer.

Throughout the movie, we follow him and his « entourage » facing the harrowing journey of cancer. Shortly after conquering cancer, Max quickly returns to training where he sees snow for the first time, in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, only a couple of days before the X Games and 2 months after his last chemo treatment. Then finally, as he had planned, he returned to competition on August 31, where he took the first spot on the podium after a strenuous and challenging semi-final.
